The Project Manager is responsible for managing customer projects and providing comprehensive support to the Key Account Management (KAM) and technical teams. This role ensures timely communication, accurate documentation, and efficient coordination of tooling projects, sample shipments, PPAP submissions, and customer requirements. The position also involves maintaining ERP/CRM data, resolving invoice and payment-related issues, and supporting the sales organization to deliver excellent customer service. Acting as a central link between customers, sales, and technical functions.
Challenge
- Manages tooling projects (serial and pilot) in Salesforce CRM
- Manages dates / lead times and response to customer on these items
- Manages sample shipments and response to customer on these items
- Manages customer project communication - manages customer expectation along with KAM
- Administrative assistance to KAM and Technical Team on complaint handling and general communication, like information gathering, reply follow up, lead time control etc.
- Analyses and solves invoice and dunning issues, follows up with customer to receive payment.
- Responsible to submit all required documents to customer to release payments for tooling and pre-production orders
- Assist with maintenance of the ERP system (Abas) data
- Manages PPAP submission and approval process in coordination with the Technical Team
- Updates PPAP release status in ERP (Abas)
- Supports all sales group members in all necessary aspects as needed to ensure effective and efficient customer response
- Additional country specific tasks may apply
Qualifications
Educational Requirement
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Management, Marketing, Industrial Engineering, or a related field is required.
License of Certification
- Certification in Project Management, Sales, or Supply Chain Management is an advantage.
Work Experience and Knowledge
- Minimum 5–7 years of experience in project management, inside sales, or customer service within a manufacturing, automotive, or technical industry.
- Proven experience in customer communication, expectation management, and coordination with cross-functional teams (Sales, Technical, Supply Chain, Finance).
- Hands-on experience in CRM (preferably Salesforce) and ERP systems (preferably Abas) for project tracking, documentation, and data management.
- Experience in handling tooling projects, PPAP submissions, and sample shipments is highly desirable.
- Background in invoice and payment follow-up, documentation for payment release, and resolving dunning issues is an advantage.
- Experience in multinational or cross-country business environments is a plus.
Physical Attributes
The role requires someone fit for office work, able to use computers and office equipment effectively, and comfortable with desk-based tasks for long periods. The candidate should have the stamina for occasional extended hours and clear, professional communication skills.
Other Skills
- Proficient in MS Office applications (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook).
- Skilled in CRM and ERP systems (preferably Salesforce and Abas).
- Strong multitasking and time management abilities.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English (other languages are an advantage).
