Senior Field Application Engineer (India) 100% full-time

This is a full-time on-site role located in NCR/India for a Senior Field Application Engineer. In this position, you will be responsible for providing technical support to clients, collaborating closely with the sales team to offer tailored product solutions, and managing communications with key customers. You will engage in field applications, assist in identifying technical requirements, and ensure seamless integration of products with customer specifications. Key responsibilities also include problem resolution and maintaining strong customer relationships to support business growth.
Challenge
- Lead and execute mechanical design and development activities for automotive components and systems with customers & our factory
- Apply mechanical engineering fundamentals, including DFM (Design for Manufacturing), DFA (Design for Assembly), tolerance analysis, GD&T, and design-to-cost principles to ensure robust, manufacturable, and cost-effective designs.
- Utilize 3D CAD tools such as SolidWorks, Creo Parametric, or equivalent for part and assembly design, and generate clear and accurate 2D drawings for manufacturing and customer documentation
- Support the sales and technical sales teams in project discussions, feasibility studies, and cost estimations.
- Act as first level of contact for customer complaints Pre-PPAP Issues (design issues) and Post-PPAP issues (8Ds)
- Manages dates / lead times and response to customer
Qualifications
- Min. 5 years experience in automotive industry
- Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent
